EATON — Recently the Preble County Historical Society received a new Automated External Defibrillator system to better prepare for large crowds, more events as well as their own staff and volunteers.

In order to be prepared for emergencies, the PCHS board of trustees, staff and volunteers had the opportunity to take an AED, CPR and first aid class. Paramedics Pat Kincer and Zach Sebring instructed the class.

PCHS Executive Director Lisa White gave a special thanks to the West Alexandria Fire & EMS for purchasing the AED system for the Historical Society and Nature Reserve.

“Two years ago, at the fireworks event, there was an emergency with a visitor. Since then we have taken the proper steps to be more prepared. I highly recommend all organizations, clubs and committees take these same steps for their visitors safety,” said White.
