The following information has been provided by Northmont area police departments. The information listed in this column is considered public record and is available to anyone seeking information concerning what is provided below.

For purposes of this column, the term “arrested” or “charged” does not necessarily mean the person was taken into physical custody. It could also indicate that a summons was issued to the subject in lieu of physical custody.

All the people listed as “arrested” or “charged” are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Saturday, April 8, Clayton 23-0000373: A female subject was issued a written trespass warning for United Dairy Farmers after she stole from the business. UDF did not want to press charges, but instead requested the trespass warning.

Clayton 23-0000375: Crestview Baptist Church reported receiving two threatening phone calls with a subject stating they would blow up the church. It is not known where the call originated.

Sunday, April 9, Clayton 23-0000377: Barbara Townsend, 19, of Trotwood, was arrested on a warrant out of Troy. She was transported to West Milton and turned over to a Troy officer.

Clayton 23-0000379: Police responded to the 6100 block of Afton Dr. on a domestic violence call. Due to conflicting statements as to what transpired and a lack of physical evidence, no charges were filed.

Monday, April 10, Clayton 23-0000380: A 2020 Honda Accord reported stolen out of Huber Heights was found abandoned in the 5100 block of Seville Dr. Huber Heights sent a tow truck to recover the vehicle.

Clayton 23-0000382: Domestic violence was reported in the 4000 block of Shell Ave. No charges were filed.

Tuesday, April 11, Clayton 23-0000389: A resident of Crownwood Avenue reported that someone had used her personal information to rent a car in Indiana. The car was later reported as stolen and was recovered in Dayton. She also discovered that there are two properties listed in her name. She was provided with an identity protection form.

Clayton 23-0000391: Two juvenile males, a 10-year-old and a 12-year-old, were both charged with disorderly conduct following a fight. Charges were forwarded to juvenile court.

Clayton 23-0000392: Domestic violence was reported on Vinway Court. The victim signed a refusal to prosecute form.

Wednesday, April 12, Clayton 23-0000396: Theft was reported at Dollar General. The suspects fled prior to police arrival. A customer took a photo of the vehicle’s license plate number as it fled.

Clayton 23-0000397: Theft was reported at Dollar General. The suspect entered the back receiving area of the store and fled out the back door prior to police arrival.

Thursday, April 13, Clayton 23-0000398: An unknown subject broke into a vehicle at Garden Woods Apartments and removed a touch screen radio from the dashboard.

Englewood 23-0000605: A 14-year-old female removed alcoholic beverages from a shelf at Walmart and exited the store without paying. She was found outside consuming the beverages. She was charged with underage consumption and underage possession and transported to the Montgomery County Juvenile Detention Center.

Englewood 23-0000607: Paul E. Willis, Jr., 61, of Dayton 45416, had a warrant issued for his arrest after assaulting a male in the Walmart parking lot.

Friday, April 14, Englewood 23-0000613: A 10-year-old male was charged with menacing after sending a threatening email to a female who attends the same school, Englewood Elementary. The male has sent threats to other students and had followed through with a threat to a male student. Charges were forwarded to juvenile court.

Englewood 23-0000614: Hezekiah Woods, 20, of Trotwood, was arrested on an active warrant and transported to the county jail.

Sunday, April 16, Englewood 23-0000619: Timothy Perry, 40, of Englewood, was cited for control of dog and registration of dog required. He was issued a court summons.

Englewood 23-0000621: Tracy D. Melson, 56, of Dayton 45406, was charged with criminal trespassing in the 800 block of Union Blvd., issued a court summons and released.

Monday, April 17, Englewood 23-0000624: Beverly J. Chambers, 56, of Dayton 45406, was charged with having physical control of a motor vehicle while intoxicated and open container. She registered at .188 percent on a breath intoxilyzer test. She was issued a court summons and released to a friend.

Englewood 23-0000631: Edward Golub, 35, of Englewood, was charged with permitting drug abuse. A warrant was issued for his arrest.

Tuesday, April 18, Englewood 23-0000634: Zachary S. Holzapfel, 35, of Union, was charged with theft at Do-It-Best Hardware. The theft was recorded by store security cameras. Charges were forwarded to Vandalia Municipal Court, which will issue a court summons.

Englewood 23-0000637: Brooklyn C.D. Bailey, 19, of Dayton 45406, was arrested on active warrants out of Trotwood and Fairborn. She was also cited for operating a vehicle without a valid license and issued a warning for expired registration. She was transported to the county jail.

Englewood 23-0000640: A suspect that stole merchandise at Meijer fled the store and headed south on Main Street in a white sedan. A Clayton officer located and stopped the vehicle. Ronald J. Vanhook, 52, of New Carlisle, was charged with theft and transported to the county jail.
