EATON — The Preble County Room, Preble County District Library’s Genealogy and History Department, hosted its fourth annual Genealogy and History Fair on Saturday, June 24, bringing together those interested in researching their own genealogy or local history to discover the local places and services available in the area.
Participating organizations included the Preble County Room, the Camden Archives, the Preble County Historical Society, the Lewisburg Historical Society, Daughters of the American Revolution, Sons of the American Revolution, Preble County Art Association, the Wayne County, Indiana Genealogy Society, Gaia’s Blessing, and West Alexandria Friends of the Library.
Also present were Dr. Michael Robinson, an expert in genetic genealogy; Fred Schreel, who specializes in Henry Burns Muzzleloaders, and Scott’s Clocks, who explained the history of pocket watches, clocks and other watches.
