The following information has been provided by area police departments. The information listed in this column is considered public record and is available to anyone seeking information concerning what is provided below.

For purposes of this column, the term “arrested” or “charged” does not necessarily mean the person was taken into physical custody. It could also indicate that a summons was issued to the subject in lieu of physical custody.

All the people listed as “arrested” or “charged” are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Wednesday, Aug. 2, Union report 23000000305: An officer responded to the 600 block of W. Martindale Rd. on a report of three Scottish Terriers that entered a resident’s back yard and were now contained. The resident stated he came out front and the three dogs ran together to the west side of his house and went through a gap in his gate and into his back yard. The officer was familiar with the dogs from dealing with them previously. The officer opened the gate to go into the back yard and the oldest dog ran out and headed back to its home. While the officer followed the dog, the other two dogs followed and returned to their home. The officer secured the dogs in their home. The dog’s owner will be issued a criminal warning for having dogs at large.

Thursday, Aug. 3, Englewood report 230001250: Officers responded to Motel 6 on the report of two wanted subjects who might be staying in room 248. An officer looked at photos prior to arriving at the scene and positively identified a female and male in the room as matching the photos. Brittney E. Harris, 31, of Piqua, was arrested on a warrant and when searched prior to arrest, an officer found two plastic Baggies containing a white powder in her sweatshirt pocket. Also located in plain view in the motel room was another bag containing a white powder with a syringe next to it. Gregory Bowling, 41, of Piqua, was also arrested on a warrant. Harris and Bowling were transported to the county jail. The suspected drugs were sent to BCI for analysis. If found to be illegal drugs, charges on Harris will be forwarded to court.

Englewood report 230001255: Dawn P. Herron, 52, of Huber Heights, was arrested on a statewide felony warrant after an officer spotted her driving on Hoke Road. She was transported to the county jail.

Friday, Aug. 4, Englewood report 230001259: An officer was dispatched to meet Dayton Police at the juvenile detention center for a recovered runaway from Englewood. A 13-year-old female was charged with being unruly – habitually disobedient and booked into the juvenile detention center.

Englewood report 230001262: Scott E. Truitt, 45, of Grove City, was charged with theft at Meijer and transported to the county jail.

Saturday, Aug. 5, Englewood report 230001265: Jordan Henderson, 25, of Dayton 45417, was charged with operating a vehicle intoxicated (OVI), driving under OVI suspension, driving while under the influence violator within 20 years of previously having been convicted of or pleaded guilty to DUI, and driving in marked lanes. He was transported to the county jail.

Sunday, Aug. 6, Englewood report 230001274: Dena Dorsey, 23, of Dayton, 45417, and RaeJean G. Gray, 23, of Dayton 45406, were both charged with theft at Walmart. Both were issued a court summons and released.

Tuesday, Aug. 8, Englewood report 230001284: Jack L. Cole IV, 37, of Fairborn, was charged with theft at Meijer, issued a court summons and released.

Englewood report 230001287: Gregory S. Rabold, 64, of Englewood, was charged with disorderly conduct – recklessly cause inconvenience, annoyance, or alarm to another by creating a condition that is that is physically offensive / risk of harm, after allegedly spitting on another subject during a confrontation. Rabold was issued a court summons.
