Bolts/Devils compete in Treaty City Invite

GREENVILLE — Runners from Brookville and Northmont competed Saturday in the Treaty City Cross Country Invitational in Greenville City Park.

Northmont freshman Makenna Long took 1st place in the girls race with a time of 20:07.72 nearly ten seconds ahead of second place finisher Natalie Brunswick of Ft. Recovery (20:17.55).

In the girls team standings Northmont took 5th place with 158 points with Brookville 6th with 186. Ft. Loramie finished 1st with 39. Senior teammate Amelia Brown finished 12th in 21:19.

Brookville junior Dylan Ballin led the Lady Devils finishing 22nd in 21:58.37 followed by sophomore teammates Logynn Barr 26th in 22:18.36 and Lindsay Rieder 35th in 22:44.23.

Northmont freshman Addison Brown finished 37th at 22:49.15 with junior teammate Brianna Pressel 50th at 23:13.75.

Brookville juniors Serenity Suggs finished 52nd in 23:16.87 with Hunter Gardner 56th in 23:22.47.

Northmont senior Libbi Mergler was 64th at 23:31.03 with teammates freshman Katie Wayne 125th in 25:43.36 and junior Lilia Lopez 127th in 25:48.15.

Brookville junior Bree Fowler finished 150th (27:16.68). Brookville senior Lily Zimmerlin finished 180th (29:01.17). Brookville sophomore Madeline Allen finished 196th (29.54.40).

Northmont freshman Maddie Abbott finished 199th (30:33.39). Brookville freshman Kayln Combs finished 203rd (30:48.77). Northmont sophomore Ava Brewer finished 206th (31:02.51).

Brookville sophomore Alexis Stegner finished 207th (31:13.51). Northmont freshman Emily Warren finished 215th (32:21.69) and Brookville junior Ava Ullery finished 224th in 33:39.06.

In the boys race Brookville placed 7th with 222 points while Northmont was 9th with 227. Versailles took 1st place with 68 points.

Northmont senior Daron Porter took 9th place in 17:33.72 with freshman teammate Owen Bush 15th in 18:09.16.

Brookville sophomore led the Blue Devils in 25th place in 18:26.12 while teammates junior Lucas Tipton 33rd (18:50.09) and senior Rowan Deardurff 43rd (19:01.56).

Freshman Grant Mergler (Northmont) finished 66th in 19:29.28. Freshman Adam Wallace (Northmont) was 69th in 19:31.34. Junior Logan Wright (Brookville) finished 70th in 19:31.84. Sophomore Evan Pentecost (Brookville) was 72nd in 19:33.74.

Senior Eli Ward (Brookville) finished 84th at 19:51.34. Junior Chase Puskas (Brookville) finished 91st in 20:00.49. Senior Jack Bradley (Northmont) finished 100th in 20:16.66.

Junior Daemani Lee (Northmont) finished 110th in 20:28.87. Junior Matthew Helmick (Northmont) finished 113th at 20:36.49. Freshman Drew Stammen (Brookville) was 114th in 20:39.23. Sophomore Greyson Florkey (Brookville) was 115th at 20:40.65.

Freshman Alex Moore (Northmont) finished 151st in 21:21.11. Senior James Booth (Brookville) finished 160th in 21:35.02 with freshman Luuk Fokkink (Brookville) 161st in 21:35.15.

Senior Austin Taylor (Brookville) finished 163rd in 21:37.57. Freshman Chase Bishop (Northmont) finished 182nd in 22:00.88.

Sophomore Dale Inman (Brookville) was 211th at 22:39.79 with junior Dylan Meyers (Brookville) 215th in 22:49.67 and sophomore Blake Stacy (Brookville) 220th in 22:57.14.

Senior A.J. Rieder (Brookville) finished 228th at 23:04.58. Sophomore Evan Hardin (Brookville) finished 241st in 23:40.07. Sophomore Ethan Bench (Brookville) finished 249th in 24:13.01.

Freshman Owen Sanders (Northmont) finished 273rd in 25:44.76. Sophomore Henry Colley-Lambright (Northmont) was 275th at 25:57.96. Sophomore Luke Hyre (Brookville) finished 277th in 26:05.70.

Freshman Jacob Goble (Northmont) was 287th at 26:45.03. Freshman Ben Manley (Brookville) finished 294th in 28:00.74. Sophomore Cade Matthews (Northmont) finished 296th in 28:02.56 and junior Jacob Balcom (Brookville) finished 314th at 32:33.00.

The Blue Devils and Thunderbolts will run again this Saturday at the 56th annual Brookville Cross Country Invitational, which will be held in Golden Gate Park. The high school boys race will start at 9:30 a.m. with the high school girls race at 10:10 a.m.

The middle school boys race follows at 10:50 a.m. with the middle school girls at 11:20 a.m.

A kindergarten through third grade open race starts at 8:45 a.m. with an open race for grades 4th through 6th at 8:55 a.m.
