Anna beats Brookville

in district semifinal

ANNA – Jenna Wolters scored with 12 minutes left in the first half Monday to power Anna to a 1-0 victory over Brookville in the Division III, Southwest 3 district semifinal at Anna.

Anna, the No. 4 seed, advanced to play No. 1 seed Cincinnati Country Day (17-2-0) in the district final at Trotwood High School.

Brookville concludes its season with a record of 10-7-2. Anna improved to 13-4-2.

Lady Bolts soccer

falls to Springboro

SPRINGBORO – Northmont’s girls soccer team lost 5-0 Monday to Springboro in the Division I, Southwest 4 district semifinal.

Springboro (16-1-2) was led by seniors Kaitlynn Long with three goals and Aly Schellhouse with one goal and one assist. Sophomore Morgan DeMoss also scored.

Senior Emma Hicks and juniors Sarah Beachy and Tessa Blain each had an assist.

With the loss Northmont concludes its season at 6-11-2.

The No. 2 seed Lady Panthers advance to play No. 3 seed Cincinnati Seton (11-3-3) in the district final at Lakota West.
