EATON — Vancrest Health Care Center has announced the grand opening of its brand-new rehabilitation unit in Preble County and is inviting the public to a special open house event next week.
“This grand opening marks a significant milestone in our journey to continue delivering exceptional care in the communities we serve,” officials said in a press release last week.
Vancrest of Eaton is a subsidiary of Vancrest Health Care Centers, a family-owned organization founded in 1960 by Dr. E. E. White, a pioneer in geriatric care. Dr. White’s vision was to provide “high-quality, patient-centered care to aging populations, a mission we continue to embrace today, as reflected in our mission statement, C.A.R.E.: Customer Focused; Attitude; Responsibility; and Empathy,” the release continued. “The White family, led by Dr. White’s son, Mark White, remains committed to this mission, ensuring that every resident receives the utmost care, respect, and support.”
“The newly remodeled rehabilitation unit is a testament to our commitment to enhancing the lives of our residents. This state-of-the-art facility includes an expanded therapy gym, equipped with cutting-edge rehabilitation equipment, and all-private rehab rooms. These enhancements will empower our dedicated healthcare professionals to provide individualized care and support to residents on their journey to recovery,” the release noted.
This rehab unit is part of the second phase of a larger construction project which began in 2021. The multi-phased project has already seen updates to the nurses’ station, dining area, and extensive renovations to resident rooms, “all designed to create a welcoming and comfortable environment for our residents,” the release explained.

“We invite the community, our residents, their families, and all well-wishers to join us in celebrating the grand opening of the new rehabilitation unit at Vancrest of Eaton. This event will take place on Sunday, Nov. 19, from noon-4 p.m. at 1600 Park Avenue,” White added.
Refreshments and tours of the facility will be provided, allowing attendees to explore the new amenities.
