The following information has been provided by area police departments. The information listed in this column is considered public record and is available to anyone seeking information concerning what is provided below.

For purposes of this column, the term “arrested” or “charged” does not necessarily mean the person was taken into physical custody. It could also indicate that a summons was issued to the subject in lieu of physical custody.

All the people listed as “arrested” or “charged” are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Wednesday, Oct. 11, Clayton 230001200: John M. Pentecost, 75, of Dayton 45415, was charged with operating a vehicle intoxicated and failure to yield after being involved in a two vehicle crash on N. Main Street at Granite Drive. He registered at 0.070 on a breath intoxilyzer test. Pentecost was transported to Grandview Hospital for evaluation and issued a court summons.

Clayton 230001202: Jillian M. Clack, 35, of Phillipsburg, was charged with speeding and possession of marijuana, issued a court summons, and released.

Thursday, Oct. 12, Clayton 230001203: An unknown subject broke the driver’s side door handle off a vehicle at Garden Woods Apartments and stole the radio.

Clayton 230001205: An unlocked 2003 Chevrolet Tahoe was stolen from a driveway on Tammy Circle. The owner had the keys when the vehicle was stolen.

Union 23000000472: Rae J.Z. Grady, 21, of Dayton 45431, was arrested on a warrant issued by Dayton Police for failure to appear. Grady was transported to the county jail.

Monday, Oct. 16, Clayton 230001216: A dog being walked by its owner was attacked by a dog running loose on Greenbay Drive near Rangeview Drive. The victim took her dog to Med Vet for treatment. April M. Hernandez, 46, of Clayton, was charged with having a dog at large and issued a court summons.

Wednesday, Oct. 18, Clayton 230001218: An unknown subject attempted to steal a 2019 Kia parked in the 6800 block of Park Vista Rd. The victim was awakened by the car alarm and when she looked outside she observed a dark in color sedan pull away and head north. The unknown subjects broke the rear driver’s side window on the Kia and pealed the steering column.

Friday, Oct. 20, Clayton 230001230: A 2018 Hyundai Elantra reported stolen from Huber Heights on Oct. 15, was found parked next to a curb in the 6500 block of Riverbend Dr. Shoe impressions were observed on the trunk and roof of the vehicle.

Clayton 230001232: Bobby R. Gray, Jr., 18, of Bradford, was charged with possession of marijuana and marijuana drug paraphernalia while parked in a vehicle at the entrance of Westbrook Park after hours. A 17-year-old female was not charged and was released to her mother. Gray was issued a court summons and released.

Saturday, Oct. 21, Clayton 230001234: An unknown driver ran over the stop sign at the corner of Old Salem and Union roads, drove up onto the lawn of the Church of Deliverance and struck the building destroying the middle lower window. The driver fled prior to police arriving. A trail of some type of fluid was found on the road leading away from the building.

Clayton 230001236: The theft of a handgun from a vehicle was reported on Colemere Circle. The victim advised that her niece removed the gun from the vehicle and gave it to her 16-year-old brother who was arrested by Dayton Police after stealing from the UDF on Brown Street. He was in possession of the gun when arrested. Dayton requested a police report from Clayton in reference to the stolen firearm.
