BROOKVILLE — City Manager Sonja Keaton reported to council and the park board the drive-thru Christmas in the Park lighting display kick-off held from 6-8 p.m. in Golden Gate Park, 545 Upper Lewisburg-Salem Road, was a success.

Keaton thanked many for the success of the event.

“I would like to thank the park board for its vision and its tirelessly work on the event,” Keaton said.

“The park board received $333.76 in donations during the event,” Keaton said.

“I would also like to thank the Brookville Area Chamber of Commerce for its generous donation,” Keaton continued.

The chamber of commerce donated $1,000 toward this year’s event.

“I also thank others who made a donation to the Christmas event that allowed the park board to build upon its light display,” Keaton said.

Keaton thanked the various organizations who set up their Christmas displays in the park.

“I would also like to thank Cub Scout Pack 47 for its grand display again this year,” Keaton said.

Keaton thanked the city’s service department and the volunteers who assisted with setting up the Christmas displays.

The drive-thru event will be open the remaining month of December from 6-9 p.m.
