EATON — A new assistant prosecutor will join the Preble County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office next year.

Preble County Prosecuting Attorney Martin Votel announced last week the hiring of assistant prosecuting attorney, MiMi DeGrow.

DeGrow will begin her tenure at the Prosecutor’s Office on Jan. 22, according to Votel. Her primary duties will be the prosecution of juvenile delinquency cases and adult felony cases.

According to Votel, Degrow has extensive experience in court management, and worked for many years managing the affairs of the Miamisburg Municipal Court in Miamisburg. In 2018, she received her J.D. from the Chase College of Law of Northern Kentucky University, graduating Magna Cum Laude. Since that time, she has grown a private practice, while at the same time serving as a public defender in Montgomery County.

“Ms. DeGrow’s experience in criminal procedure and trial practice will be a great asset as she assumes her duties on behalf of the county early in the new year,” Votel said.
