Commissioners receive more anti-solar letters

EATON – During their Monday, Jan. 8, meeting, Preble County Commissioners noted receipt of four additional letters of concern regarding the proposed solar installations in Preble County.

Dozens of postcards from a local campaign against solar farms have poured into the commission office in recent weeks, as well as individual letters from concerned Preble County residents stating the same.

In other business on Jan. 8, commissioners:

Noted receipt of a letter from Preble County Sheriff Mike Simpson regarding the resignation of Wesley Clark.

Approved the appointment of Commissioners Rachael Vonderhaar and Adam Craft as the county’s Miami Valley Regional Planning Commission’s 2024 Board of Directors representative and alternate.

Approved the appointment of Jamie Beneke as Preble County’s apiary inspector for 2024.

Approved the reappointment of Craft to the PC Microfilm Board.

Approved the reappointment of Commissioners David Haber and Craft to the PC Investment Advisory Board.

Approved the reappointment of Craft to the PC Family & Children First Council.

Approved the appointment of representatives to the Region 15 OneOhio Recovery Foundation Inc. Board.
