BROOKVILLE — The Blue Devils wrestling team Wednesday hosted Mechanicsburg, a tough opponent that recently won its 16th straight Ohio Heritage Conference championship Jan. 20 with 243 points.
In a hard fought match, the Blue Devils managed to defeat the Indians 42-37.
“They are a good team. We scheduled them on purpose because of that,” said Brookville coach Shawn Harris. “Looking for the end of the year to get these boys ready to go. Mechanicsburg has a solid lineup. We would have liked to have seen their 106 pound guy (Nolan Fraley) because he is ranked a little above us, but they didn’t bring him. Don’t know why. Overall, I am happy with what I saw today compared to last weekend.”
