The following information has been provided by area police departments. The information listed in this column is considered public record and is available to anyone seeking information concerning what is provided below.

For purposes of this column, the term “arrested” or “charged” does not necessarily mean the person was taken into physical custody. It could also indicate that a summons was issued to the subject in lieu of physical custody.

All the people listed as “arrested” or “charged” are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Friday, Dec. 22, Englewood 230002100: Jamal A. Palmer, 30, of Englewood, was charged with operating a vehicle intoxicated, driving without a valid license, driving on the sidewalk, and failure to comply with the order of police officer. Palmer was transported to jail.

Englewood 230002102: Kimberly D. Alston, 59, of Dayton 45417, was charged with theft at Walmart and transported to jail.

Englewood 230002103: Dorothy L. Ward, 40, of Harrison Township, was charged with theft at Meijer and was arrested on a warrant out of Dayton for failure to appear. She was transported to jail.

Saturday, Dec. 23, Englewood 230002106: Stihles P. Cyars, 28, of Muncie, Ind., was charged with theft at Walmart and was transported to jail.

Englewood 230002111: Deonte W. Mitchell, 32, of Dayton 45406, was arrested on a warrant out of Fairborn Municipal Court for failure to appear on a charge of driving under suspension. Mitchell was transported to jail.

Monday, Dec. 25, Englewood 230002120: An officer followed a speeding vehicle that parked at a gas pump at BP. As the officer approached, the vehicle sped off west on Rockridge Road past Holiday Drive where it struck a curb, went airborne and crashed into a wooded area. Kennedy F. Lowe, 21, of Harrison Township, was charged with operating a vehicle intoxicated, driving under suspension and speeding. Felony charges of failure to comply with the signal or order of a police officer are pending. Lowe was taken to Grandview Hospital for Treatment and issued a court summons.

Englewood 230002125: Brandon S. Davis, 21, of New Lebanon, was arrested on active warrants issued by the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office; a felony warrant for a probation violation on a theft offense, a second for a probation violation for leaving the scene of an accident, and a third warrant for failure to appear on 11 animal abuse offenses. Davis was transported to jail.

Tuesday, Dec. 26, Englewood 230002127: Sean S. Casey, 41, of Englewood, was charged with operating a vehicle intoxicated, and was transported to Grandview Medical Center after stating he couldn’t breathe while being taken to jail. Casey was issued a court summons and released to medical staff.

Englewood 230002129: Police responded to a two vehicle crash at the intersection of Taywood Road and S. Main Street. One vehicle fled south on Main Street and struck a speed limit sign and a fire hydrant in front of Thunderbowl before pulling into the parking lot of Frisch’s. Michael D. King, Jr., 38, of Dayton 45414, was charged with operating a vehicle intoxicated, driving under suspension, failure to reinstate, assured clear distance ahead, reasonable control, and fictitious license plates. He registered at 0.196 percent on a breath intoxilyzer test. King was issued a court summons and released to a sober driver.

Saturday, Jan. 27, Brookville 2400024: Police responded to the BP gas station on a suspicious subject sitting in a vehicle at a gas pump for more than an hour. Abdoulahie D. Diallo, 25, of Indianapolis was issued a criminal trespass form and told that if he returns he would be arrested. He was told that once his sister arrived she could retrieve his vehicle.

Friday, Feb. 2, Union 24000000050: Officers responded to a fight in progress in the parking lot at Proctor & Gamble. No active fight was taking place when police arrived but a victim was still on the scene. Dean A. Snyder, 28, of Dayton 45432, was charged with assault. Charges were forwarded to Vandalia Municipal Court.

Sunday, Feb. 4, Union 24000000053: Ramon R. Jones, 45, of Dayton 45402, was charged with operating a vehicle intoxicated, no driver’s license, failure to maintain marked lanes of travel, open container, and no license plate light. Jones was transported to jail.

Union 24000000054: Charles E. Howard, 25, of Middletown, was charged with failure to obey a traffic control device, seatbelt required and then arrested on a felony warrant out of Middletown. Howard was taken into custody, transported to Germantown, and turned over to a Middletown police officer.
