CLAYTON — On Saturday, March 9, the Northmont Academic Challenge team defeated Beavercreek to win the GWOC Postseason Tournament held at Northmont High School.

The teams split two playoff matches before Northmont prevailed in the final 435-330.

Northmont is currently ranked No. 1 in the state headed into this weekend’s NAQT State Championship tournament, which will be hosted at Northmont High School.

The team has won 14 tournaments this season and is currently ranked No. 24 in the nation.
