COLUMBUS — On March 8 and 9, a total of 32 Northmont DECA members competed at the 80th Annual Ohio DECA State Career Development Conference in Columbus against the best Ohio offers.

Twenty students were named Ohio DECA finalists, and seven earned the right to move on to the International Career Development Conference in Anaheim, Calif., at the end of April.

“It is always great to see the hard work and dedication of the students pay off in Columbus at this conference,” said Eric Wagner, DECA advisor. “I am incredibly proud of all the students and the efforts that they all put forth in gearing up for this conference. Many of them started their projects before the school year even began. I can’t wait to see what this group can accomplish at ICDC this year.”

The Chapter will be seeking sponsorship to help offset the expense of attending the conference. If you are a business or individual who would like to donate and have your name or business featured on the back of the chapter T-shirt, please feel free to reach out to any ICDC qualifier or Eric Wagner at [email protected]
