EATON — The Rotary Club of Dayton through the Dayton Fraternal Order of Police selected the Eaton Police Division to receive a new K9.

In 2022, the Rotary Club of Dayton through its Red Ribbon Project held fund raisers to provide law enforcement with K9’s and/or K9 equipment. The money raised was given to the Dayton Fraternal Order of Police to distribute to local law enforcements agencies, according to an EPD news release.

The Rotary Club of Dayton chose the name Orville for the new K9, and he will use his nickname, Loki, while in service, EPD officials said.

K9 Loki is an 18- month-old male Dutch Shepherd and will be K9 Officer Craig Jones’ partner.
