Teen killed in Perry Township crash

PERRY TOWNSHIP — The Dayton Post of the Ohio state Highway Patrol is investigating a two-vehicle fatal crash which occurred Sunday, March 31, at approximately 3:33 p.m. on Johnsonville Brookville Pike and Little Richmond Road in Perry Township, Montgomery County.

According to OSP troopers, the preliminary investigation showed a Chrysler PT Cruiser, driven by Tanner Dickerson, 19, Englewood, was westbound on Little Richmond Road, when he failed to stop at the stop sign. A Chevrolet Silverado, driven by Charles Rowlett, 59, New Lebanon, was southbound on Jacksonville Brookville Pike and struck Dickerson in the intersection.

After impact, both vehicles went off the west side of the roadway where Dickerson’s vehicle came to rest on its side. The passenger in Dickerson’s vehicle, Kinady Howard, 18, Clayton was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Both Dickerson and Rowlett were transported to Miami Valley Hospital with non -life-threatening injuries, according to OSP reports.

The incident remains under investigation. The Ohio State Highway Patrol was assisted on scene by Perry Township Police Department, New Lebanon Police Department, New Lebanon Fire Department, and Busy Bee Towing.
