BROOKVILLE — City manager Jack Kuntz informed council that staff, along with representatives from JobsOhio and Dayton Development Coalition, recently toured the DMAX facility and the company’s expansion project.

“The DMAX staff was very gracious during the tour as well as very complimentary to city staff regarding the ongoing expansion project,” Kuntz said.

“This is a very exciting project, and we look forward to continuing to be working with the G.M. team as this project moves forward,” Kuntz continued.

Kuntz noted the Hay Avenue resurfacing project is currently taking place.

Kuntz said although the street will be closed during the majority of the project to through traffic, local residents and businesses will continue to be able to access their property.

Kuntz said Brookville’s 2023 annual report is posted on the city’s website and social media platforms “for anyone interested in learning about all the great things that occurred in the city in the past year.”

Kuntz noted the city service department has been busy the past few weeks.

Kuntz said the service department performed the following:

• cut a tree down off an utility line at the Baker Street alley

• cleaned out some catch basins

• did some chipping of limbs

• patched several pot holes

• took a skid of spray paint to the Westbrook Park

• installed ceiling tile and insulation at the building the city owns at 401 Albert Road

• listed two mowers and a pick-up truck on govdeals.com, an online auction marketplace for government surplus items

• made no parking and/or camping signs for the city parks that were used during the observation of the eclipse on April 8

Kuntz announce the El Bronco restaurant, located at 485 Arlington Road, opened on March 25.

“We’d like to welcome El Bronco to the Brookville community and encourage the entire community to visit El Bronco as well as all our local restaurants and businesses,” Kuntz said.
