ENGLEWOOD — Marianne Murray-Guess will address the Randolph Township Historical Society about ‘True Crime in Ohio’ immediately after the May 8 meeting.

The owner of the New and Olde Pages Books Shoppe and author of the ‘Guess What’s New in Reading’ column in the Register-Herald, will have tales from some of the local authors whose books she carries. Two of them are Cold Serial – The Jack the Strangler Murders, by Brian Forschner, and The Girl on the Volkswagen Floor, by William Clark. She may also have some nonbook stories of local lore, like the Phantom of Route 40.

Murray-Guess grew up on Denlinger Road and now lives in Laura. She worked at the bookstore with Dede who “was like a sister to me.” When Harrison left the store after 10 years, Murray took it over and has owned it for 25 years.

Her talk will follow the business meeting and will start about 7:30. The talk and the business meeting are both open to the public at no charge and there will be refreshments.
