Lady Devils run rule Oakwood 15-0 in five innings


BROOKVILLE — The Lady Devils scored early and often Wednesday in a 15-0 run rule victory over Oakwood in five innings.

Maya Haydon went three for four with two runs and three RBIs to lead the Lady Devils attack. Melina Davidson went two for two with a double, two runs and two RBIs. Kara Gardner went three for three with one run and two RBIs.

Grace Burton went one for three with a double, one run and two RBIs. Rylan Eagle went one for three with a double. Isabell Holp went one for one with two runs. Erin Moler went one for one with one run. Jordyn Oliver went one for two with an RBI.

Lia Viernes went one for two and Haley Hall went one for two with an RBI. Melina Lucente scored a run and had two RBIs. Brianna Abrams scored a run and Madisyn Cantrell drew a walk and had one RBI.

Eagle earned the victory in the pitcher’s circle. She worked three innings, allowed only two hits with three strike outs. Burton pitched two innings with no hits, one walk and four strike outs.

Isa Dunlap and Sydney Parrillo each had a hit for Oakwood. Claire Ferra took the loss for Oakwood. She worked four innings, surrendered 16 hits, 15 runs (eight earned) with five walks and two strike outs.

With the win Brookville improved to 11-4 overall and 6-3 in league play while Oakwood fell to 2-11 and 1-8.
