Panthers big inning results in victory over Patriots

LEWISBURG — Tri-County North scored five runs in the fourth inning Wednesday at home en route to a 7-1 victory over Tri-Village.

Freshman pitcher Zach Jean earned the victory. He pitched all seven innings, scattered three hits, issued one walk, struck out eight and allowed no earned runs.

Jeff Ricketts went one for three with a triple, one run and two RBIs. Colten Vanwinkle went two for three with a run and one RBI. Garner Parlett went two for four with an RBI. Peyton Fannin went two for three with a stolen base, one run and one RBI.

Parker Overcash went one for four with a stolen base, one run and one RBI. Carter Lake went one for four and Braylen Keener went one for four with a stolen base and one run. Jean went one for four and Ryan Shively drew a walk and scored one run.

Lucas Brown took the loss for Tri-Village. He pitched six innings, surrendered 11 hits, seven runs (four earned), with three walks and four strike outs.

Jaiden Beam went one for three and scored a run. Lucas Brown went one for three with an RBI. Lane Bierly went one for four with a stolen base. Levi Farmer went one for two and Kaeden Lipps went one for three.

Both teams committed four errors.

With the victory Tri-County North improved to 7-6 overall and 3-4 in conference play. Tri-Village dropped to 3-9 and 0-6.
