BROOKVILLE — There will be a Plant and Propagation Swap at the Brookville Branch Library, 120 Blue Pride Drive, Brookville, this Saturday, May 4, from 3-4:30 p.m.

Plant enthusiasts are invited to bring indoor or outdoor plants and cuttings to swap with others, socialize with fellow plant lovers, then grab some new plants to take home!

There will be index cards available for individual plant identification, however, if folks would like to bring their own identification cards, they are welcome to do so. The seed catalog will be on hand and available for those who want to donate or borrow from the library.

“We hosted this type of swap in the spring of 2023 and had over 30 attendees who talked plants with each other and swapped almost all of the items brought to the event,” said Chris Blackford, library Information Services Assistant, “among the participants were folks just starting out and others who’ve had a green thumb for a while, which provided great learning opportunities.”

The library is planning a Seed and Plant Swap for early fall 2024.
