SPRINGFIELD — Tri-County North’s baseball team cruised to a 5-0 victory Saturday over Emmanuel Christian Academy.
Grayson Woodworth pitched six innings, allowed only one hit with one walk and five strike outs to earn the victory. Carter Lake pitched one inning and allowed one hit with one strike out.
Garner Parlett went three for four with three RBIs. Colten Vanwinkle went two for three and Braylen Keener went two for four with two runs to lead the Panthers attack.
Gabe Heltsley, Parker Overcash, and Ryan Shively had one hit apiece. Lake drew a walk, stole a base and scored one run. Jeff Ricketts also drew a walk, had one stolen base, and scored a run. Overcash and Shively both a had a stolen base.
With the victory Tri-County North improved to 8-6 overall while Emmanuel Christian fell to 3-8.
