Devils rout National Trail at Day Air Ballpark

DAYTON — Cole Crabtree got three hits in three at bats Saturday evening at Day Air Ballpark to help lead Brookville to a 13-2 victory in five innings over National Trail.

Crabtree stole four bases, scored three runs, and had an RBI.

Braden Chambers went two for two with a run and four RBIs. Nathan Wagoner went two for two with a walk, scored two runs and had two RBIs. Jace Wood went two for three with three runs and two RBIs.

Seth Hoover went one for two with two runs and one RBI. Hunter Gray went one for three with one run and two RBIs.

Sam Fullenkamp, Carson Collins, and Landon Trent each had one hit. Kayde Baker drew a walk and scored one run.

Gray pitched four innings, allowed one hit, two runs, with three walks and five strike outs. Trent pitched one inning in relief with no hits and no runs allowed.

The Blazers Jamison Watts drew a walk and Chase Ruebush got hit by a pitch in the first inning and scored on a single by Cooper Lee, National Trail’s lone hit of the game.

The Blue Devils scored nine runs in the bottom of the first and never looked back.

Watts took the loss for the Blazers. He pitched two-thirds of an inning, surrendered five hits, eight runs, and issued three walks.

With the victory Brookville improved to 11-6 overall while National Trail fell to 7-9.
