Made for Mother’s Day, 6-7 p.m.

Kids ages 6-12 years, this is your chance to create a unique and lovely gift for your mother, grandmother or whoever is like a mother to you! All materials provided. Registration is required.

Tuesday, May 7

Tween Tuesday: Pokemon Gaming, 3-4 p.m.

Kid gamers in grades 5-6 can play games with their friends, make new friends and participate in a tournament or two! Registration is not required. Registration is not required.

D&D at the Library, Dragons of Stormwreck Isle, 6-8 p.m.

Action & adventure awaits you! Join us for a session of Dungeons & Dragons 5e at the library. We’ll be playing the starter set campaign, Dragons of Stormwreck Isle. Players may use one of the premade characters or create their own. Email [email protected] if you’d like more information.

No experience is necessary, players of all experience levels are welcome.

Thursday, May 9

Homeschool Club, noon-1:30 p.m.

Homeschooled children ages 6 – 12 should pack a lunch and bring it to the library! After they eat, they’ll participate in a set of fun and educational activities with Miss Amanda. There’s a different theme each month, including science, math, social studies, creative writing, art and more! Kids can meet up with other homeschool friends and/or make new ones! Animanga Club, 3-5 p.m.

Otaku in grades 7-12 assemble! Celebrate anime, manga, and all things Japanese. Registration is not required.

PAWS to Read Storytime, 6-7:15 p.m.

Each month the Brookville Branch library gives Golden Retriever Couper, the chance to meet young ones and listen to stories during the Paws to Read program. Families have the opportunity to register for one of four individual one-on-one reading sessions with Couper, a certified therapy dog affiliated with the Miami Valley Pet Therapy Association (MVPTA).

A whole-group story time is presented halfway through the sessions and those who aren’t able to read to Couper are welcome to attend the story time. Couper will be available to pet and love on during that time frame. Registration is required.

Internet Safety, 10-11 a.m.

Are you wondering what the differences are between phishing, malware and/or scams? Don’t like the sound of any of them? Information Services Assistant Chris Blackford will discuss some common online dangers and tips to avoid them.

Saturday, May 11

All Ages Crochet Club, 10-11 a.m.

This program is open to crafters ages 6 to adult, and crafters of all skill levels are welcome. If someone has been wanting to learn to crochet, staff will be happy to teach them. Children may need their adult to stay and help them. Crochet hooks and yarn will be provided, but crafters are also encouraged to bring their own if they wish. Registration is required.
