CENTERVILLE — Northmont earned a 4th place finish at the Division I wrestling sectional Saturday at Centerville.

The top four in each weight class advance to the district tournament, which will be held at Kettering’s Trent Arena starting Friday at 4 p.m. and continuing Saturday at 10 a.m.

113: Junior Henry Pergram placed 6th losing a 19-3 technical fall to senior Xavier Bradley (12) of Wayne.

120: Freshman Connor Slentz placed 4th losing a 7-2 decision to Isaac Bulugaris (9) of Beavercreek.

126: Noah Allen (11) placed fourth losing an 8-3 decision to Logan Besecker (12) of Beavercreek.

132: Landon McCargish (9) took 1st place with a 10-5 decision over Nate Stevens (12) of Centerville. After a first round bye McCargish won by a fall (1:28) over Aaron White of Stebbins and also won by fall (3:17) over Devon Dodge of Xenia to qualify for the championship match.

138: Drake Givens (12) placed 6th losing by forfeit to Brian Barrett (10) of Sidney.

144: John Wright (11) lost a 15-2 major decision to Joe Conti (11) of Wayne and then lost by a fall (2:50) to Matt Kinsolver (9) of Xenia to end his day.

150: Sullivan Dickey (10) lost by a fall (3:57) to Gage Griffin (12) of Centerville to place 6th.

165: Devin Jones (10) placed 5th winning by fall (0:51) over Almari Byrd (9) of Fairborn.

175: Marcos Velasquez (11) placed 2nd losing by a fall (1:51) to Ferman Mirzaev (12) of Fairmont.

190: Payton Lupton (12) placed 2nd losing by a fall (5:05) to Gunnar Pool (12) of Centerville.

215: Chris Gross (12) placed 6th losing by a fall (0:48) to Hayden Barker (11) of Piqua.

285: Charlie Henson (10) lost by fall (1:42) to Aiden Stringer (11) of Fairmont and by a fall (0:47) to De’Andre Jones (9) of Troy to end his tournament bid.
