OHIO — Governor DeWine’s Nursing Home Quality and Accountability Task Force will be hosting in-person, public listening sessions across the state over the next several weeks.

This new State Task Force was announced during Governor DeWine’s 2023 State of the State Address and officially enacted via Executive Order earlier this year. It has been convened to study issues surrounding quality of care and quality of life in Ohio’s nursing homes.

The goal of the Governor’s Task Force is to make excellence the expectation for all of Ohio’s 960+ nursing homes. To do this, they will be traveling to communities across the state to hear directly from nursing home residents and their loved ones about their experiences.

Individuals interested in attending one of these events can register at aging.ohio.gov/nhtaskforce.

Area meetings will be held in Cincinnati: Thursday, March 16, from 1-3 p.m., at University of Cincinnati’sTangeman University Center – Room 400, 2701 Bearcat Way, Cincinnati, and in Dayton, Tuesday, March 21, 10 a.m.-noon, at Sinclair Community College’s Conference Center, 444 W. Third St., Dayton.
