HUBER HEIGHTS — In their second conference match of the season the Northmont girls soccer team scored a 4-1 victory at Wayne.

The Lady Warriors took an early 1-0 lead but just before halftime junior captain Scarlett Knaier found the back of the net for Northmont to tie the match 1-1.

When play resumed in the second half Knaier scored two more goals and freshman Jaidyn Walker scored the first goal of her varsity career to give Northmont a 4-1 victory.

Assists came from Andie Brown, Abbie Hardy, Mya Harrison and Knaier.

With the victory the Lady Bolts improved to 1-3-1 overall and 1-1-0 in Greater Western Ohio Conference play. Wayne dropped to 0-6-0 and 0-2-0.

The Junior Varsity team also secured its first victory of the season at Wayne, 9-0.
