The following information has been provided by area police departments. The information listed in this column is considered public record and is available to anyone seeking information concerning what is provided below.

For purposes of this column, the term “arrested” or “charged” does not necessarily mean the person was taken into physical custody. It could also indicate that a summons was issued to the subject in lieu of physical custody.

All the people listed as “arrested” or “charged” are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Tuesday, Oct. 17, Englewood 230001708: Aurian Tyesha Nicole Martin, 24, of Dayton 45414, was charged with felony theft at Meijer and transported to the county jail.

Englewood 230001710: Maurice E. Taylor, 38, at large, was charged with theft at Meijer, issued a court summons and released.

Thursday, Oct. 19, Englewood 230001719: Shameka R. Johnson, 29, of Dayton 45417, was charged with theft at Walmart, issued a court summons and released.

Englewood 230001721: Dennis W. Leefler, Jr., 41, of Dayton 45417, was charged with theft at Meijer and transported to the county jail.

Englewood 230001722: Samuel Limberry, 42, of Dayton 45406, was arrested on a warrant out of the state of Delaware for auto theft ( 2019 Hyundai Elantra). Limberry was transported to the county jail.

Englewood 230001724: Wylie M. Andrews, 59, of Dayton 45417, was charged with theft at Walmart and transported to the county jail.

Saturday, Oct. 21, Englewood 230001732: Michelle M. Hall, 49, of Dayton 45406, was charged with felony theft at Kroger and transported to the county jail.

Sunday, Oct. 22, Clayton 230001240: An unknown Black male juvenile broke the rear passenger side window on a vehicle parked at Wolf Creek Apartments. The vehicle owner heard noises outside and when he looked out his window he saw two cars, one maroon and one grey, with at least five Black male juveniles dressed in black. He opened his door and yelled at them and they left, but before leaving one juvenile stated, “they would come back and blow this place up.”

Clayton 230001241: While taking a criminal damaging report at Wolf Creek Apartments an officer noticed a Hyundai SUV had a broken rear passenger window. The officer tried to contact the registered owner but no one answered the door.

Clayton 230001244: A 2016 Honda Odyssey reported stolen out of Butler Township was found abandoned on River Delta Lane. The vehicle was towed at the request of the owner.

Clayton 230001245: A Lexus E35 reported stolen out of Riverside was found abandoned on River Delta Lane. The owner responded to the scene and was able to drive away with no issues.

Clayton 230001246: Mary L. Moore, 50, of Clayton, was charged with display of plates during a traffic stop on Hacker Road. Officers confiscated a small amount of marijuana, a glass pipe with white residue on it, a tied off bag containing a white, fine grain crystalized substance believed to be narcotics from the interior of the vehicle. Moore and her passenger denied ownership of the drugs. No charges were filed.

Englewood 230001735: Jason L. Kurpe, 51, of Harrison Township, was charged with operating a vehicle intoxicated, speeding, and failure to signal. He was transported to the county jail.

Englewood 230001740: Lois A. Hicks, 60, of Dayton 45406, was charged with theft at Meijer, issued a court summons and released.

Monday, Oct. 23, Englewood 230001756: Joseph L. Lakes, 43, of Union, was charged with driving while under the influence, and driving while under the influence within 20 years of previously having been convicted or pleaded guilty to DUI. Lakes was transported to the county jail.

Monday, Nov. 20, Union 23000000479: Denton E. Little, 51, of West Milton, was arrested by West Milton Police on two warrants issued by Vandalia Municipal Court for failure to appear for a pretrial hearing. Little was turned over to a Union officer and transported to the Montgomery County Jail.
