TCN online kindergarten registration
Tri-County North Local Schools will be holding their online kindergarten registration for the 2024-2025 school year beginning Monday, Feb. 26, and through Friday, March 8. Visit the website at www.tcnschools.com and click on the “Student Registration” tab to begin the enrollment process through Final Forms. 2024-2025 kindergartners must be five years old on or before Aug. 1, 2024. The week of March 11, parents will receive an email through Final Forms to sign up for an appointment to bring in required documentation. Documentation drop off will be by appointment the week of March 18-22 and will be held in the TCN District Office. The following must be submitted for all new students:
• A certified birth certificate from the Health Department (note a hospital birth record is not acceptable.)
• Original copies of any child custody orders, decree or modifications of orders relevant to the child
• Physician’s immunization records
• Three forms of proof of residency (refer to www.tcnschools.com for a complete list of acceptable forms of proof of residency)

BOE logic and accuracy testing
The Preble County Board of Elections will conduct the March 19, 2024 Primary logic and accuracy testingof the electronic pollbooks on Monday, March 4 and Tuesday, March 5. This testing will also be conducted from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Preble County Courthouse.
PS BOE sets meeting dates for 2024
The Preble Shawnee Local Schools Board of Education has scheduled its meetings for 2024 for the second Tuesday of each month, at 6 p.m. in the high school library media center unless otherwise noted. Meetings will be held on: Tuesdays, Feb 13, March 12, April 16, May 14, June 11, July 9 (time to be determined;) Aug. 13, Sept. 10, Oct. 8, Nov. 12, and Dec. 10.
PCESC announces meeting dates
The regular monthly meetings of the Preble County Educational Service Center Governing Board will be held the fourth Wednesday of each month, with noted exceptions, at the Preble County Educational Service Center, 597 Hillcrest Drive, Eaton, at 5:30 p.m. The board will meet on Feb. 28 (at the ESC Project Life facility;) March 27, April 24 (at the ESC Success Academy;) May 22, June 26, July 24, Aug. 28, Sept. 25, Oct. 23, Nov. 20 (third Wednesday) and Dec. 18 (third Wednesday.)
NT announces board meeting dates
The regular meetings of the Board of Education of the National Trail Local School District will be held on the fourth Tuesday of each month, unless otherwise noted, at 6:30 p.m. at the National Trail School K-12 Facility, 6940 Oxford Gettysburg Road, New Paris. Meetings will be held on Tuesday, Feb. 27; Tuesday, March 26; Tuesday, April 23; Tuesday, May 28; Tuesday, June 25; Tuesday, July 23; Tuesday, Aug. 27; Tuesday, Sept. 24; Tuesday, Oct. 22 and Wednesday, Dec. 4.
Parkinson’s exercise class
A new session of Parkinson’s Fit Club exercise class are being held each Wednesday at the Earl Heck Center, 201 N. Main St., Englewood. Classes run from 12:15-1 p.m. These classes are taught by Physical Therapists from Kettering Health’s NeuroRehab and Balance Center and are designed to empower people with Parkinson’s Disease to fight back against the disease with specific exercises to counteract movement challenges experienced by those with Parkinson’s. Classes are tailored for different levels of fitness and Parkinson’s symptoms. All ages and fitness levels are welcome. Continued road closure
Brubaker Road at Brubaker Covered Bridge is closed for an as of yet undetermined period of time, beginning at Ohio 122 and ending at Aukerman Creek Road due to damage to the bridge incurred in a traffic crash. No traffic is permitted.
