BEAVERCREEK — The Northmont DECA chapter members traveled to the annual DECA Competition Jan. 30 to compete against more than 350 students in other chapters in District 4.
Northmont’s goal was to earn the opportunity to advance to the Ohio DECA Career Development Conference in March. A total of 64 DECA members participated in the competition, hoping to earn a spot at the Ohio DECA Career Development Conference in Columbus, which will take place on March 8 and 9. The chapter had 38 winners of trophies and 26 members who qualified for the state-level competition.
“It was truly a great day for the DECA chapter. I am incredibly proud of all the kids who competed. Seeing the kids dress up and compete in this event is always great. I am very excited about what the future holds for this group at the state level and hopefully internationally in April,” said Eric Wagner, Northmont DECA advisor.
