BROOKVILLE – Brookville Local School District’s School Resource Officer Zachary Snell was recently approved for the Professional 2024 SRO Level of the OSROA (Ohio School Resource Officers Association) SRO Accreditation Program.

“This overall accreditation program is a three-step process which takes approximately seven years to complete,” Brookville Police Chief Doug Jerome said.

“The three levels are Certified SRO, Professional SRO, and Master SRO. Snell will be awarded this accreditation accomplishment at the annual OSROA annual conference in June of 2024,” Jerome continued.

According to the OSROA website, “the Professional SRO level recognizes the SRO who has met all of the certified SRO requirements, plus four or more years of verifiable cumulative SRO duty, attendance at two of four OSROA annual conferences during the four years as SRO, at least two years of paid membership in OSROA during the four years as SRO and signatures from his/her chief/sheriff and principal verifying the four years of SRO duty.”
