PREBLE COUNTY — At press time, Monday, April 8, all eyes turned to the sky during watch parties for the total solar eclipse. Parks in several communities were the sites for events and activities allowing residents and visitors alike to gather, enjoy a fun afternoon, and watch the celestial event which won’t be seen in Ohio again until 2099. Pictured, Jared McPherson of Miami Township, along with his wife Chrissa (left) and sister Heather Taylor, from Utah, prepare for the eclipse at The Garber Nature Center. Look for additional eclipse coverage in this Saturday’s edition of The Register-Herald.
