Thunderbolts have big 4th inning to defeat Sidney

SIDNEY — Northmont scored seven runs in the top of the fourth inning Saturday on its way to scoring a 14-2 non-conference victory at Sidney.

Brady Lupton went three for five with three runs and two RBIs and stole four bases. Austin Welch went four for four with a double, two runs and three RBIs with one stolen base. Mason Wolf went two for three with two runs and one RBI.

Jamir Ross went one for two with four walks, two runs and two RBIs and had one steal. Brady Whitaker went one for three with one run and two RBIs and stole one base. Drake Sauber went one for four with one run and three stolen bases.

Chase Fuduloff drew three walks, had one RBI, scored a run, and stole a base. Cameron Knight drew a walk, stole a base, and scored one run.

Brady Canan pitched four and one-third innings in relief, allowed three hits, two runs (zero earned), with six strike outs and three walks. Sauber pitched one and two-thirds innings with no hits, no runs, and three strike outs.

Dylan Allamon started on the mound with no hits and no runs with three strike outs and one walk in one inning of work.

Eli McKenzie led Sidney with two hits in three at bats with a stolen base. Tucker Herron went one for three.

Will Boshears started the game on the mound for the Yellow Jackets. He surrendered four hits and five runs (four earned) with three strike outs and five walks in three innings.

Logan Davis pitched three and one-third innings, gave up five hits, four earned runs, with four walks and one strike out. Tucker Herron pitched two-thirds of an inning and got tagged for three hits and four runs with three walks.

With the victory Northmont improved to 2-5 overall while Sidney fell to 1-6.
