Tri-County North defeats Twin Valley South 12-6

WEST ALEXANDRIA — Tri-County North scored five runs in the first inning and four in the second en route to a 12-6 victory Saturday over Twin Valley South.

Carter Lake led the Panthers with four hits in five at bats and scored three times. Freshman catcher Ryan Shively went one for four with three RBIs and had a stolen base. Zach Jean went two for four with an RBI and two runs.

Garner Parlett went one for three with an RBI and two runs. Parker Overcash went one for two and scored twice. Gabe Heltsley reached first on a fielder’s choice and stole a base.

Jean picked up the victory. He pitched six and two-thirds innings, allowed eight hits, six runs (five earned) with three strike outs and four walks.

Keaton Watts led Twin Valley South by going two for three with a walk and two RBIs. Chandler Ulrich went two for four with two RBIs. Brayden Childers went two for three with two runs and one RBI.

Zach Cook went one for three with one run and Dustin Miller went one for four. Seth Carver, Jandon Ankrom, and Cyrus Worley each drew a walk and scored one run.

Cook took the loss for Twin Valley South. He face six batters and gave up three hits and five runs with two walks. Laiden Carver pitched seven innings in relief. He surrendered six hits, seven runs (three earned), with three walks and two strike outs.

With the victory Tri-County North improved to 2-3 overall and 1-1 in the Western Ohio Athletic Conference. Twin Valley South fell to 0-5 and 0-3 in conference play.
