PC Expo deemed a success

EATON — The Preble County Expo, held last Friday and Saturday, April 12-13, was a success, according to Preble County Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Karen Moss.

Hundreds of attendees flowed through the Expo Center at the Preble County Fairgrounds where the event was held, and a wide range of food truck options were available outside. Individuals could also visit with businesses who were looking to hire new employees.

“The success of the 2024 Expo speaks volumes about the dynamic spirit of Preble County’s business landscape,”Moss said last week. “Not only did we witness a notable uptick in attendance, but exhibitor booths buzzed with unprecedented engagement due to the new Expo Passport which required attendees to visit a certain number of booths to be entered into a drawing for gift cards.”

“Introducing other new elements like food trucks and a job fair injected a wave of excitement into the event, demonstrating our commitment to evolving alongside the community’s needs,” Moss continued. “While we recognize areas for refinement, particularly in enhancing the food truck experience, we are overall delighted with this year’s Expo. It underscores our chamber’s dedication to fostering a vibrant and adaptive business ecosystem in Preble County.”

The Expo gave attendees the chance to experience a diverse array of businesses’ and organizations’ offerings. There were more than 100 exhibitors on-site. A Kids Zone with activities from Preble Arts, the Preble County District Library and Wild Hearts African Farm gave the younger visitors their own area to explore.

Free admission was provided by Reid Health.

This Expo, hosted by the Preble County Chamber of Commerce, was made possible this year through the support of presenting sponsors Reid Health, Kettering Health, Wallace Heating and Air, and the Preble County Development Partnership.

“We extend our sincerest gratitude to our presenting sponsors whose unwavering support played a pivotal role in making the 2024 Expo a resounding success,” Moss said. “Special thanks to Kettering Health, Preble County Development Partnership, Wallace Heating and Air, the Preble County Safety Council, and, Reid Health. Reid Health also generously provided free admission. Together, with the support of these outstanding organizations, we were able to create an exceptional experience for attendees and exhibitors alike.”
