The following information has been provided by area police departments. The information listed in this column is considered public record and is available to anyone seeking information concerning what is provided below.

For purposes of this column, the term “arrested” or “charged” does not necessarily mean the person was taken into physical custody. It could also indicate that a summons was issued to the subject in lieu of physical custody.

All the people listed as “arrested” or “charged” are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Thursday, March 21, Union 24000000111: A female subject placed her wallet on the roof of her vehicle was pumping gas at Union Mini Mart, then drove off with the wallet still on the roof. She later realized what she had done and returned to the mini mart to see if someone turned in her wallet. No one had, but an hour later the mini mart called her and said the wallet had been turned in. A total of $93 was missing and all of the credit cards had been rearranged. The victim had frozen her bank accounts and credit cards but an officer advised that she might want to look into obtaining a LifeLock account.

Friday, March 22, Union 24000000114: An unknown subject entered an unlocked vehicle parked in a driveway in the 100 block of Preakness Dr. in the Stoney Crest subdivision and stole a set of Apple AirPods from the center console. A neighbors vehicle had also been gone through but nothing was missing.

Union 24000000115: Police responded to the 100 block of Venetian Way in the Stoney Crest subdivision on the report of two stolen vehicles. A 2020 Chrysler Pacifica and a 2016 Honda Pilot were both stolen from the victims driveway. The Pacifica was left unlocked and had a set of keys to both vehicles left inside. On March 23 Serious XM was able to ping the Pacifica and determined it was located in the 400 block of Watervliet Ave. in Dayton. Dayton Police responded to the address and found the vehicle. Englewood Truck responded and towed the Pacifica to the Union Service Center. Three blue latex gloves inside were collected as evidence before the Pacifica was released to the owners.

Union 24000000116: An unknown subject entered an unlocked vehicle parked on Erika Court in the Stoney Crest subdivision and removed a wallet from the center console.

Union 24000000117: An unknown subject entered an unlocked vehicle on Erika Court and stole a set of Apple AirPods.

Tuesday, March 26, Union 24000000122: An officer was in the process of issuing a citation for a handicapped parking violation in the Amazon parking lot when the vehicle owner approached. She was found to be a wanted subject. Neveah L. Middleton, 21,of Springboro, was arrested on a warrant issued by Kettering Municipal Court and transported to the county jail.

Thursday, March 28, Union 24000000124: Ashton L. Phillips, 19, of Dayton 45405, was charged with theft at his place of employment, Amazon. He was transported to the county jail.

Union 24000000125: Justin D. Cranford, 24, of Dayton 45406, was charged with theft at his place of employment, Amazon. He was transported to the county jail.

Friday, April 5, Brookville 2400096: A 17-year-old female was charged with assured clear distance ahead after striking a parked truck on Albert Road.

Brookville 2400097: A male subject was criminally trespassed from the AMVETS at 715 Market St.

Clayton 240000353: An officer responded to Glenhaven Road on a littering complaint. Vincent L. Combs, 68, of Clayton 45415, was arrested on a warrant out of Englewood. Combs was turned over to an Englewood officer and transported to the county jail.

Clayton 240000356: An officer responded to the area of Hilltop Drive and Garber Road on the report of a white male acting erratic and trying to walk up to vehicles passing by. When the officer arrived, the male approached and the officer immediately detected an odor of alcohol. Shane C. Shepler, 47, of Toledo, was arrested on a warrant out of Lucas County and transported to the Montgomery County Jail.

Saturday, April 6, Brookville 2400099: Dennis W. King, 53, of Brookville, was charged with operating a vehicle intoxicated and speeding. King registered at 0.246 on a breath intoxilyzer test. He was issued a court summons and released to his mother. King has six prior convictions for operating a vehicle intoxicated – 1992, 1994, 1995, 1999, 2011, and 2017.

Brookville 2400100: Officers responded to the 900 block of Hunters Run to assist Clay Township Police on a domestic violence call. While en route the call was upgraded to a male with a gun that was intoxicated and walking away from the residence. A Brookville officer detained the male until a Clay Township officer arrived.

Clayton 240000359: An officer pulled a vehicle over for having only one working headlight. Jeron Barney, 39, of Huber Heights, was charged with no operator’s license, two headlights required and was arrested on a warrant out of Miami County. Barney was transported to Montgomery County Line Road and turned over to Miami County Sheriffs Deputies.

Sunday, April 7, Clayton 240000360: An officer pulled a vehicle over for having only one working headlight. Samone A. Milner, 24, of Huber Heights, was arrested on a warrant out of Montgomery County and was also charged with no operator’s license. She was transported to the county jail.

Clayton 24000361: Gerald Fisher, 56, of Dayton 45406, was arrested on a warrant out of Montgomery County and transported to the county jail. His girlfriend arrived to take possession of his vehicle but was also found to have a warrant (see Clayton 240000362).

Clayton 240000362: Lisa Y. Vititoe, 55, of Dayton 45406, was arrested on a felony warrant out of Montgomery County and transported to the county jail.

Union 24000000133: An unknown subject entered an unlocked vehicle parked in the 600 block of Beery Blvd. and removed two bottles of prescription medication.

Wednesday, April 10, Brookville 2400101: Troy C. Loller, 23, of Richmond, Ind., was charged with no operator’s license and driving under suspension. He was issued a court summons. A valid driver arrived to take possession of his vehicle.

Thursday, April 11, Clayton 240000368: Police responded to a burglary in progress in the 500 block of Valley Oak Ct. Denilson Alessan Giron Rivera, 20, of Dayton 45404, was charged with criminal mischief and transported to the county jail.

Friday, April 12, Clayton 240000374: Police responded to a single vehicle injury clash on State Route 48. An officer found a destroyed utility pole with power lines in the roadway and a black Chevrolet sedan totaled and upside down. Englewood officers advised the driver, who appeared heavily intoxicated, was already being transported by medics to Miami Valley Hospital North. Aaron L. Greene, 32, of Englewood, was charged with operating a vehicle intoxicated, failure to control, driving under suspension, and open container. He was issued a court summons.
