Tri-County North routs Franklin Monroe

LEWISBURG — Braylen Keener went three for four with a home run, two runs, a stolen base, and three RBIs Tuesday to help lead Tri-County North to a 12-2 victory in six innings over Franklin Monroe.

Zach Jean went two for two with a double, scored twice and drove in three runs. Carter Lake went two for four with a stolen base, two runs, and one RBI. Ryan Shively went two for three with one run and three RBIs.

Parker Overcash went one for three with a stolen base and one run. Garner Parlett went one for two with one run. Colten Vanwinkle went one for four with a triple, scored a run and had one RBI. Peyton Fannin went one for three with one RBI. Gabe Heltsley went one for two with one run and two RBIs.

Koby Reynolds earned the victory. He pitched six innings, allowed six hits and two runs with a walk and two strike outs.

Josh Armstrong led Franklin Monroe by going two for three with one RBI. Braden Gilbert went one for three with a double. Brandt Filbrun went one for three with one RBI and Madex Skidmore and Chase Stebbins both went one for three.

Stebbins took the loss for the Jets. He pitched four and two-thirds innings, allowed 10 hits and six earned runs, issued two walks and struck out five. Gilbert pitched one inning in relief, allowed three hits, two walks, and one earned run.

With the victory the Panthers improved to 5-4 overall and 2-2 in the Western Ohio Athletic Conference. Franklin Monroe fell to 4-5 and 1-2 in conference play.
