COLUMBUS — The postseason for high school baseball teams begins next week with the release of the brackets earlier this week by the Ohio High School Athletic Association.
The highest seeded team will host the first three rounds.
In Division I, Northmont is the No. 10 seed in the North 3 bracket and will travel to No. 8 Miamisburg on Tuesday, May 14. The winner will travel to No. 5 Troy for the sectional final on Thursday, May 16. The district semifinal is slated for Tuesday, May 21.
In Division II, Eaton is the No. 16 seed and will travel to No. 12 Greenville on Tuesday, May 14 in the North 2 bracket. The winner will advance to the sectional final and play at No. 5 Oakwood. The district semifinal is scheduled for Tuesday, May 21.
In Division III, No. 19 Preble Shawnee will travel to No. 6 Jamestown Greeneview for a first-round game on Monday, May 13 in the North 2 sectional. The will be play at No. 2 Miami East on Wednesday, May 15. The district semifinal is scheduled for Monday, May 20.
Also in the Division III, North 2 sectional, No. 4 Brookville received a bye into the sectional final where they will await either No. 11 Waynesville or No. 13 Valley View on Wednesday, May 15. The district semifinal is slated for Monday, May 20.
In the Division III, North 3 sectional, No. 15 National Trail will travel to No. 8 Kettering Archbishop Alter for a first-round game on Monday, May 13. The winner will advance to play at No. 5 Arcanum in the sectional final on Wednesday, May 15.
In Division IV, No. 9 Tri-County North will host No. 12 Ansonia in the North 4 sectional final on Wednesday, May 15. The winner advances to the district semifinals on Monday, May 20.
In the Division IV, North 5 sectional, No. 23 Twin Valley South will travel to No. 16 Fairlawn for a sectional final game on Wednesday, May 15. The winner will advance to the district semifinals on Monday, May 20.
