EATON — On a warm, sunny Saturday afternoon in early May, Fort St. Clair State Park in Eaton, was the location of history in western Ohio: Preble County’s first annual Community Pride Event.

OXFORD — Grants totaling more than $64,000 from the W. E. Smith Family Charitable Trust have been approved for 23 history-related projects from libraries, museums, school programs, and other organizations across Southwestern Ohio, including a grant for the Preble County Historical Society.

WEST ALEXANDRIA — The Preble Soil and Water Conservation District (SWCD) is seeking individuals devoted to the conservation of natural resources in Preble County. Established in 1949, the District serves landowners and county residents by providing education and assistance with natural resource concerns, whether it is for agricultural production, wildlife, forestry, or recreational purposes.

PREBLE COUNTY — The Preble County District Library has many programs and activities slated for the month of May.
