NEW PARIS — National Trail High School math teacher Judy Brown was recently named District #3 Ohio Teacher of the Year after being nominated for Ohio Teacher of the Year by NT student Jamison Watts.

HAMILTON — During the second semester, 16 Preble County high school seniors have been traveling to Kettering Health Hamilton Hospital for several job shadowing experiences.

EATON — Preble County voters will select a candidate for Preble County Common Pleas Court Judge on the Tuesday, March 19, primary election ballot. Republican candidates Jacob Kovach and Martin Votel introduced themselves during a Monday, Feb. 19, meeting of Eaton City Council.

PREBLE COUNTY — Voters will find incumbent Preble County Commissioner Rachael Vonderhaar on the Tuesday, March 18, primary election ballot.

ENGLEWOOD — For the fifth consecutive year, City of Englewood Director of Finance Della Stearns earned the Ohio Auditor of State Award for excellence in financial reporting.

EATON — A special program aimed at educating the public about the Constitution is coming to the Preble County Council on Aging Senior Center beginning Saturday, March 2.

EATON — The ongoing battle by some to keep large scale solar facilities out of Preble County got a win on Wednesday, Feb. 21, when county commissioners approved a resolution restricting all large solar — and wind — facilities from being constructed in the entire unincorporated area of Washington Township.

CLAY TOWNSHIP - The two appointed trustees selected Dale Winner as the third trustee at a special meeting held Feb. 22 at the township building.

ENGLEWOOD — The Englewood Market, held on the grounds of Wagoner Power Equipment, 520 W. National Rd., has announced its 2024 events lineup. The Market is held the second Thursday of every month from March through October.

EATON — During its Monday, Feb. 19, meeting, Eaton City Council approved two resolutions which will help a group of investors finally build a hotel in the city.
