Kids’ Fishing Day planned in Eaton
EATON — Following a special rainbow trout stocking by the Ohio Department of Natural Resources Division of Wildlife, Eaton Parks & Recreation will host its second annual Kids’ Fishing Day at Crystal Lake Park on Saturday, April 13, from 9 a.m.-noon.

Our first trip of the year we are visiting Belterra Park Casino in Cincinnati, Ohio on March 19th. We will be venturing our way there via motorcoach, planning to win lots of money and have a lot of fun, and return home with full pockets. We still have open spots and need a minimum of 30 people to go. The cost is $57 for a member and $77 for non-members. Sign up today! Camden Community Blood Drive, Feb. 24
CAMDEN — Late winter is a time of urgent need for blood donations. Support the regional blood supply by donating at the Camden community blood drive Saturday, Feb. 24, from 9 a.m. to noon at First Southern Baptist Church, 35 North Liberty St.
Winter forestry hike at PCHS
EATON — The Preble County Historical Society and Nature Reserve kicked off the year on Saturday, Feb. 10, with a conservation event. The event was a winter forestry hike led by Miami University’s Savannah Ballweg. Ballweg previously worked for the Preble County Soil and Water Conservation District. The group hiked the yellow trail at PCHS which runs along Aukerman Creek. There are five hiking trails totaling a little over 7 miles at PCHS. The blue trail is titled the Enchanted Storybook Trail featuring kiosks with pages from a book chosen by the Preble County Library District. The trails are open 7 days a week from dawn until dusk. Dogs are welcome while on a leash. The address is 7693 Swartsel Road, Eaton.
