Northmont Board mourns death of student athlete

CLAYTON — The Northmont community was stunned by the news that a 16-year-old student athlete, Carter Davis, recently died in his sleep. His passing was noted during the July 8 meeting of the Northmont Board of Education

COLUMBUS — The Ohio Power Siting Board (OPSB) will hold a local public hearing on Tuesday, Sept. 10, regarding AES Ohio’s proposal to construct a new 138 kilovolt electric transmission line in Preble County.

RTHS to host car show at Hardscrabble Park

BROOKVILLE - The board gave its permission to purchase school district insurance through the Southwestern Ohio Educational Purchasing Council for fiscal year 2025 (July 1, 2024 to June 30, 2025), at an estimated cost of $96,584.

Edison State at Eaton to offer certificate programs

EATON — To meet regional workforce needs, Edison State Community College is offering Business Management, Medical Assistant, and Medical Coder certificate programs at its Eaton location. Students can start in the programs during the fall semester, which begins on Monday, Aug. 26.
