BROOKVILLE — Some overly optimistic teams tried to play games in the rain Wednesday, including Brookville baseball and softball as well as Tri-County North baseball. All three games were suspended after a few innings as the rain became too intense.

CLAYTON — With the game tied 2-2 after four innings Tuesday, the Northmont girls softball team scored two runs in the fifth and three in the sixth to post a 7-2 victory over Wayne.
Tri-County North softball team beats Bradford
LEWISBURG — Tri-County North’s softball team overcame four errors Tuesday to post a 7-6 victory over Bradford to improve to 2-3 overall and 2-0 in Western Ohio Conference play. Bradford fell to 2-4 and 1-2 in conference play.
National Trail bounces back to defeat Fairlawn
SIDNEY — After suffering a 7-1 home loss to Bradford on Friday, National Trail’s varsity baseball team bounced back with a 3-0 victory Saturday over Fairlawn.
Thunderbolts shut out Wayne for 2nd straight win
CLAYTON — Northmont took a 3-0 first inning lead Tuesday at home against Wayne and went on to post an 8-0 shutout victory, its second straight win.

PANAMA CITY, Fla. — Brookville won its final spring break game 5-3 against the Henry County (Kentucky) Wildcats to improve to 6-3 overall.
